GPS tracking of your equipment in DynaRent
Table of contents
This is a follow-up to our previous article about black box intergrations, in which we explained the possibilities to easily register data on meter transactions coming from your equipment in DynaRent for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Another common integration that is often requested is a GPS tracking integration linking data from the equipment with DynaRent.
As explained in the last article, Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is an open platform that allows you to easily create integrations of any type using data from your equipment. However, a direct link to your equipment is neccesary to make sure it correctly process the received GPS coordinates.
DynaRent provides import APIs to transform accurate location information and update it directly on your equipment within DynaRent.
DynaRent always shows the current address of each piece of equipment. Because this address is used in every transportation and service process, this demonstrates the importance of having up-to-date details on your equipment’s location at all times.
Once the sytem puts the information from your equipment into DynaRent’s import file, it imports directly into DynaRent. DynaRent automatically register the current equipment location and update it accordingly. As a result it automatically uses the new location in any process started in DynaRent.
