STAEDEAN, a global Independent Software Vendor for Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications, has announced the relaunch of its long-running project management solution, now known as the Project Lifecycle Suite (PLS) for Dynamics 365 F&SCM.
The solution will help construction and heavy equipment companies handling complex projects streamline operations, enhance profitability, and ensure overall success.
Initially launched in 2009 as Advanced Project Management (APM), STAEDEAN’s project management solution was built to enhance the standard capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 with industry-specific features offering end-to-end business needs in one system.
With PLS, STAEDEAN will enhance the strengths of our core features, expand integration capabilities, and, in the long term, add advanced AI and Analytics capabilities. This move aligns with STAEDEAN’s vision to empower customers and businesses with solutions to help them be successful in the complex project management space.
Michiel Toppers, Senior Director of Product Management at STAEDEAN, stated, "STAEDEAN has 15 years of expertise in end-to-end project lifecycle management. Having worked closely with various industries over the years, we have gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face. Based on the valuable feedback from our customers, we're strategically developing and including features to address these challenges."
Regarding the relaunch, Michiel said, “We are excited to announce PLS, bringing our APM solution back to the market, with planned new features like analytics, mobility, and AI enhancements to support the complex needs of construction and heavy equipment manufacturing. PLS will empower our customers to enhance their project lifecycle management with powerful features unavailable in the standard Dynamics products.”
The Construction & Heavy Equipment sector, in particular, presents significant growth potential in complex project management. Commenting on the positive outlook, Michiel said, "I can't think of a better time than now to relaunch our project management software solution. With the surge in growth also comes the challenge of effectively managing it. AI and Analytics will empower these companies to make data-driven decisions, optimize inventory usage, mitigate risks, and elevate project performance."
Some of the key features of PLS include:
-
Multi-level Work Breakdown Structures (WBS): Improve operational effectiveness by tracking and managing work breakdown structure.
-
Progress Billing: Manage invoicing for long-duration, costly projects with progress billing. Track progress and bill using any unit of measure across the WBS. Get direct insight into up-to-date totals, retentions, and amounts to bill for each level of the WBS.
-
Project Change Management: Handle project changes seamlessly with capabilities such as project change orders and forecasts.
-
Cost Codes: Manage cost and time and identify profit centers with activity-based costing or cost codes.
-
AI and Analytics (on the roadmap): Make data-driven decisions and improve operational efficiency.
PLS will help project-driven companies enhance efficiency, facilitate on-time delivery of projects, and maintain budgets effectively. For more information about the benefits and features of PLS and how it can support project management operations, download the factsheet today.
