At STAEDEAN, we had a productive time at the Microsoft Inspire event. We had written earlier about our participation in the Microsoft Inspire Event between July 14–18, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was an amazing experience where we not only got to talk to the Microsoft community but participated in many sessions. We are charged with enthusiasm; both for our team at STAEDEAN and for you—our customers.

Our CEO, Luciano Cunha participated in a session Steven Guggenheimer when he joined the ‘Driving Success with the Business Applications ISV Connect Program’ at 02:30 PM on Tuesday, July 16, at the Mandalay Bay BR E (Theater). Click here to view the video in which Steven Guggeinheimer talks about the program along with our CEO, Luciano Cunha.

Here are the 3 main developments that you can expect:

ISV Connect Program: Microsoft announced that it would become a channel for the sale of products from select partners based on their capabilities in developing IP to create solutions. For our customers, this means that they have quicker access to our products and enjoy the benefits of our combined efforts at solving customer problems. At STAEDEAN, we will dive deeper into the domain to gather even more expertise, and this will help us improve our solutions, come up with new products, and become experts at anticipating and solving problems before they occur.

De-componentizing of solutions: Another significant development is the way Microsoft is looking at making solutions more focused on workloads than looking at them as ERP and CRM. You can see the shift happening with CRM being brought down to Marketing, Sales, and Field Services individually as there are many more parts. The same is being done for ERP to ensure that customers can select specific solutions that they require for different functions, get quicker value and revenue generation. Licensing for Dynamics 365 will evolve from multiple application plans— for Customer Engagement (CE), Unified Operations (UO), and the arching Dynamics 365 Plan—into licensing of individual applications. As a result, customers will be able to purchase applications that meet their needs and avoid the need to pay for services they do not need.

Here is an old view of the products available on Microsoft Dynamics 365 before the announcement that Finance & Operations would be changed to Finance & Supply Chain Management. The changes announced can help customers to purchase applications that meet their needs, and not having to pay for services they do not need.

Data, insights, artificial intelligence and mixed reality: Among the many other crucial results of the Microsoft Inspire event is their focus on data. With as much as 90% of the world’s data being generated in the last two years, there is a lot of focus on this. The way forward would be to draw useful insights from the data to develop solutions based on the trends, intelligence, and cues from the information. The focus is also going to take augmented reality and implement solutions based on mixed reality to solve many technical problems.

Other areas of discussion included Azure, brain hacking, inculcating AI into numerous applications, and using technology to come up with better solutions.
