Replacing Visio, the new RapidValue flow designer simplifies BPM and reduces costs

We just released a new version of our business process management (BPM) solution, STAEDEAN RapidValue for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. For most RapidValue users, the most important update in this version 6.3.1502.640 will be that we introduced our own, web-based flow designer to replace Microsoft Visio. This is the same flow designer that some of our customers and partners will know from running RapidValue in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations environments.

Deployments of RapidValue with the new designer will be simplified compared to implementing the solution along with Visio. With this update, you also save the costs of a separate Visio license.

In addition, the new flow designer supports many new exciting usage scenarios. For one thing, companies using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 now can manage their BPM content in the production environment, just like other master data. Many capabilities as well as the overall usability of the designer are similar to what you know from the Visio designer. One stark contrast is the performance improvements you can realize, especially when you deal with complex and large flows.

The new designer is ready for work immediately out-of-the-box. Outside of lower cost and better performance, it also makes RapidValue on Dynamics AX 2012 easier to manage and maintain.
